New for 2013!
Every year, we introduce new varieties to the Homegrown Gourmet™ product line that are either new to the market, or have been requested by our customers. This year we are adding 3 new varieties to the program (see list below for new selections).
A few years ago we added a gallon-sized coir pot for select tomatoes. Coir pots are made from coconut fibers, bound together with natural latex and are 100% biodegradable. When planting in the ground, dig a hole large enough for the pot and add a handful of a good compost to the hole before placing pot. It is also helpful to cut slits on two sides of the pot to help the roots take hold easier.
Due to the success of this product, we are going to continue to offer the following tomatoes in the gallon-sized coir pot: Better Boy, Brandywine Red, Cherokee Purple, Grape Red, Roma and Sweet 100.
